iOS 5.1 ‘Pre-GM’ Leak Reveals New Camera Shortcut and Japanese Siri?

Brazilian blog BlogdoiPhone has leaked screenshots that show a version of iOS 5.1 pre-GM that shows a new screen for the camera shortcut on the homescreen and also further evidence of Siri’s support for Japanese, which was previously noticed by the assistant itself.

Currently the shortcut to the iPhone’s camera from the lockscreen is to double tap the Home button. The new method reveals the camera icon remains on the lockscreen, and sliding up reveals the camera.

As for the evidence of Japanese support for Siri, the option shows up in Siri’s language settings:

The blog also notes Safari-based shortcuts to Settings don’t work in iOS 5.1, and also the option to toggle on/off 3G is no longer available too on the iPhone 4S. This feature was absent on the iPhone 4S from the get go, but reappeared in iOS 5.1 beta 3.

Love how Koodo and Virgin essentially lower their prices or at least make things simpler to understand and Rogers and Fido always make things more expensive and more difficult to understand.
