Facebook Stories Reaches 150M Daily Active Users, Starts Testing Video Ads

According to a new report from TechCrunch, Facebook Stories have been gaining popularity reaching a total of 150 million daily active users.

The company seems to have enough people using the feature that they can now start to monetize. Today, Facebook started testing video ads within Stories in the U.S., Mexico, and Brazil.

Users can expect 5 different 15-second skippable videos. These videos are not yet clickable, however, the company will likely add this functionality in soon. Facebook is making it really easy for advertisers, who may already have ads on Instagram, to move their ads to Facebook Stories.

Businesses on Facebook can expect to gain a lot more information about their users with metrics on their Stories performance.

Stories are about to surpass News Feed postings in terms of popularity and usage. This is a perfect time for Facebook to start competing in the exact same space as Snapchat, who has been losing users to Instagram.
