Financing Now Available for Purchases at the Apple Online Store Canada

The Apple Store was down last night, and it looks like new changes were made to the Canadian Store. Apple Financing is now available for purchases online of $750 or more. If you recall, just over a week ago Apple Canada matched the prices of Apple USA for the MacBook Air, Mac mini, and iMac.

Customers looking to take advantage of this option will be required to apply online for a Apple Financial Service Account number. Once approved, a package will arrive in the mail with information to use during your checkout to complete your purchase.

During the promotional period, no payments are required for your first three months if you reside outside Quebec. Within Quebec, you get no interest for the first three months, but will have to make minimum payments. Here are the specific details below:

Shop Apple. Get special financing.

Take advantage of special financing for three months when you buy a Mac, iPad, or any other products using an Apple Financial Services Account.

All provinces except Quebec: Get three months same-as-cash financing on your Apple Online Store purchase of $750 or more. Interest will accrue at the Preferred Rate from the date of purchase. If the purchase amount, plus any applicable fees or charges, is not paid in full by the Promotional Due Date, the accrued interest is charged to the account at 19.99% per annum.

Quebec residents: Get three months no-interest financing on your Apple Online Store purchase of $750 or more. A monthly payment equal to the greater of $10 or 3.5% of the outstanding balance is required during the promotional period. If balances are not paid in full by the end of the applicable period, or if a required payment is made late, interest will be charged from the purchase date at 19.99% per annum.

Apple Financial Services was previously unavailable to Canadians, but was widely seen throughout the US Apple Store. This is a great option for those looking to finance purchases of their next Apple product (it could be the iPhone 5!).

Anyone planning to take advantage of this?
