Untethered iOS 4.2.1 Jailbreak May Miss Its Christmas Deadline

Earlier tonight, Comex of the iPhone Dev Team sent out a tweet indicating that he may miss his self-imposed untethered jailbreak deadline.

I think I’m going to miss my Christmas deadline…

On Tuesday the iPhone Dev-Team announced that they may have an untethered jailbreak ready by Christmas. This jailbreak would not require a restore or reactivation of your
device when the device powers off.

However with this tweet, it looks like we could be waiting a bit longer than expected.

  • I don’t care how long I have to wait, as long as it will be released and working. Kudos to these guys!

    Big suprise

It’s okay, this guy needs to enjoy his holidays too. He’s trying to give us all what we want for Christmas so cut him some slack. These things take time, but I’d like to think a spring “break” wouldn’t be too much to hope for?

Rather have a stable working version instead of a buggy rushed one.

    I’ll wait no problem

  • No worries. If I was in his shoes I would be spending time with family, not working on the latest release on witch 10% of the people use it actually say thank you lol.

I say take you’re time, enjoy you’re family. Little things like Jbs can wait

No kidding. Still, there seems to be enough time to post Youtube videos of it working . . .

Another over promise, under deliver. Where’s Geohot when you need him?

I want to use airplay in my old apple tv, as iOS 4.2 doesn’t recognise the old Apple TV as a device it can stream to.

All I need is a 4.2.1 untethered jailbreak and unlock so I can sell my 3GS for the HTC Desire Z 🙂
