When Apple’s iPhone 3GS went on sale worldwide on June 19th, 2009, nobody could possibly predict how many iPhones would be sold. Well, Apple released a press release today to indicate they have sold 1 million iPhone 3GS units in 3 days!
For comparisons sake, take a look at some of these staggering numbers:
iPhone: 1 million sold in 74 days
iPhone 3G: 1 million sold in 3 days
iPhone 3GS: 1 million sold in 3 days
iPhone OS 3.0: 6 million downloads in 5 days
iPod – 1 million sold in almost 2 YEARS
App Store: 50,000 apps, over 1 billion apps downloaded in under 9 months
Nobody expected the iPhone to explode like this, but it definitely has changed the mobile landscape and has other companies trying to play catch up. I’m sure one day there will be an actual iPhone contender, but right now Apple seems to do no wrong.
I guess you could count me in as 1 iPhone 3GS out of that 1 million sold!

Wonder how many are actually in the hands of the purchasers and activated?

3 days of use, unquestionably worth the upgrade
and even voice commands are working very well

I would love to be one of those million Iphone 3GS user. Because of Rogers I will continue to be a 3G user, it seen Rogers like to screw with their loyal customers. Hopefully by time the Iphone 4GS come out Telus or Bell will have the rights to the Iphone.
