The Ryder App: Saskatchewan Roughriders CFL iPhone App

There are many ways of keeping track of NHL, NBA, and NFL games on your iPhone. One of the best ones out there is the ScoreMobile iPhone app. But what about if you’re a CFL junkie and want to get the latest news, scores, and schedules for your team?
Well, you can now if you’re a fan of the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Created in part with SaskTel, this app will provide you with up to date scores, schedules, standings, tweets, and even links to buy tickets. Yes, I know I’m writing from BC and here I am reviewing a Saskatchewan Roughriders iPhone app (I should be writing about how to listen to the Canucks on your iPhone). I figured it’s the least I could so since the Lions beat the Roughriders in Week 14 (the rematch is this Saturday).
Saskatchewan Roughriders iPhone App: Easy to Use
The Ryder App has a very straightforward layout. The homescreen shows at the top the upcoming game (along with time/date and opposing team), and icons for: schedule, standings, scores, roster, stats, articles, and twitter.
What I love about this app is how simple it is to use and how easy it is to follow the games around the league, not just the Roughriders. You can see standings for East and West, plus you can also check out detailed stats on the entire Roughriders roster.
I can see other teams coming out with their own CFL iPhone apps, as this makes it a lot easier for fans with iPhones to track their home team. So if you’re a Saskatchewan Roughriders fan, this is one app that you must take advantage of! What do you think?

It's interesting that Sasktel is making this. Their network is currently able to host the iphone. Why make apps for a device they can't yet carry?

There are as many fans outside of Saskatchewan who are Rider fans, then other CFL teams fans put together. The App is a must. The CFL needs Rider fans to stay viable
