iPhone Touchscreen Still Trumps Droid, Nexus One, Droid Eris
With the announcement of the Google Nexus One, and previously the Motorola DROID, have you ever wondered how the touchscreens compared to each other? Well, now you can since MOTO Development in San Francisco just performed touchscreen tests with the iPhone, Motorola DROID, Droid Eris, and Nexus One.
Their test involved drawing lines on each phone and seeing which phone had the straightest lines. As from the pictures and videos below, you can see who is the clear winner:
It’s interesting to note that almost three years since the release of the of first iPhone, Apple’s technology is still holding strong versus these latest Android offerings. Of course this MOTO test was just one publicized test on the internet, but it would be interesting to see how real users find the touchscreen of the iPhone versus the DROID, Nexus One and Droid Eris.

WOW if you actually READ the article you'll see the Eris is the winner…. GG
Wow you can draw lines on the phones. That's great! but I have not had any problems typing on my Motorola Droid, so what are you trying to prove?
Ahh apparently they've updated the results…. awwwww…
“The [Nexus One] is actually the clear winner for edge performance — the signal tracks right off the edge of the screen very consistently.
[edit] As of time of first writing, we hadn’t tested the Nexus One. It does slightly better than the Eris. In fact, they both use the same touch controller IC.”
