Apple Reveals App Store Search Results to Include More Ads in 2026
In 2026, Apple is refreshing how ads appear on the App Store with new top banner ads and more running on search results.
Cineplex Mobile iPhone App Now Available
Movie buffs, this one’s for you. Cineplex has just launched their iPhone app, and it will enable you to buy tickets right on your iPhone with no additional charges.
It also will let SCENE point collectors check their balance and earn points on purchases, right from your phone. Theatre locations, news, trailers, and advanced search capabilities makes this a pretty cool app for Canadian movie goers.

The app allows you to buy tickets only from participating theatres (mostly Silvercity locations) and takes credit card and PayPal (!) for payment. You can also see ticket prices for every theatre.
You can use your iPhone to redeem purchased tickets only if you link up your SCENE card. Otherwise, you’ll have to print tickets or use the kiosk at the theatre to punch in an ID number.

Apple is introducing the ability to migrate digital purchases, from apps to movies and TV shows, from one Apple Account to another.
Is the phone then your ticket or do you still have to have them printed out at the machine? Would suck for when your friend has to go to the bathroom if you have to give them your phone but would also suck if you have to still stand in line to print out your tickets.
I got this last night and it looks nice. But the interface is a bit confusing at first. Esp if you want to order tickets.
But I was able to place an order for pretty much any Cineplex owned theater in the Toronto area including Odean and Collesium.
But they do need to work on the interface and make it less confusing for the average user. I had no probs but I know many others would
Well, Kingston is out of luck. I thought it said EVERY theater show time in Canada was listed. I guess not.

Not if you hook up your SCENE account.
I bring up the barcode (from the pdf you get by email) on my phone and they scan it. Have done it twice so far and works like a charm.
and what if you hook up your SCENE account, do you just show them your ticket on your phone?
Not sure why, but when I try to load my location, it can’t find Winnipeg
I like this App. one problem is you have to re-enter your email and visa info everytime.. is there anyway to save this info on this app ???  Plus is there anyway that this app could bill my Apple account instead.. therefore not having to enter any payment info?? M.
