Steve Jobs Biography to Include Resignation From His Point of View

PCMag reports the upcoming authorized biography on Steve Jobs written by Walter Isaacson will include the final details of yesterday’s resignation, from Steve Jobs’ point of view. According to publisher Simon & Schuster spokeswoman Tracey Guest:

Isaacson “speaks to Jobs regularly and is still working on the final chapter of the book.”

The biography was initially slated for a 2012 release, but was recently pushed forward to this Fall for a November 21st release. It will include raw interviews from all walks of life related to Steve Jobs, revealing a rare detailed look into the man behind Apple Inc.

Steve Jobs Worked A Full Day On the Announcement of His Resignation

According to Businessweek, Steve Jobs worked a full day yesterday. Expect details of the following anecdote to appear in the final biography details:

On the day of the announcement, a person close to Jobs who was not authorized to speak about his health said the outgoing CEO was in Apple’s Cupertino (Calif.) office for the entire workday and attended a regularly scheduled board meeting. This person described Jobs’s condition as weak but added that his resignation was not indicative of a sudden downturn and that Jobs, while housebound in recent weeks, was up and about. Jobs gathered his senior executive team in an emotional meeting after the news broke. He also made clear he plans to be an active chairman, according to another source familiar with the transition.

Reading this book on your iPad will pay the ultimate homage to Steve Jobs, don’t you think? 😉

Absolutely. I wouldn’t do it any other way. I feel just terrible for the man. His health has clearly deteriorated and still he keeps going. Very inspiring!

I have a feeling stock prices are going to go down a little now that Jobs is no longer CEO.

I don’t agree with that statement at all man. Steve Jobs is a smart man and choose to let Tim Cook take his place as CEO. He wouldn’t hand over the position to him unless he felt Tim is more capable. How does this relate  to stock prices? Apple is not going anywhere nether is it changing and people realize that.
