With Samsung’s most critical case evidence being leaked out to the public, and Apple’s push to sanction them, Apple is worried that Samsung may reveal critical sale figures to the public. This morning Apple has pleaded to the U.S. District judge trying to prevent Samsung from revealing this “confidential” information.
According to the latest filing, the sale figures include summaries of the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. It was also noted that the file included tracking studies and buyer surveys from early last year.
This is what Apple’s lawyers wrote to judge Lucy Koh:
“Without further action, these highly confidential exhibits will be publicly disclosed causing severe harm to Apple.”
CNET revealed that Apple even presented judge Koh “document-by-document showing of good cause and compelling reasons for sealing” the critical sales information.
Furthermore, Apple wasn’t very happy with Samsung’s sneaky handling of the situation. A few hours prior to the trial apparently isn’t enough time to be alerted of exhibit usage. Apple at the very minimum wants a five-day hold so they can “seek relief.”

The sales informations will likely be by region giving hints to other company where they have to do more promo in order to remove apple in weaker market. As for the survey, it should be a wealth of information about what it’s consumers wants.
