Chitika: Mobile Safari Users Search with the Most Specific Queries [Infographic]
A new report released by Chitika based on hundreds of millions of U.S. and Canadian online ad impressions reveals Safari and mobile Safari users are the most verbose when it comes to search queries:
Mobile Safari users average 5.17 words per query (WPQ) and Safari users at 5.08. Opera users average the least at 3.88 WPQ followed by Microsoft Internet Explorer users at 4.64 WPQ. This data means iOS users are probably searching in the form of a question for their queries.
When it comes to click through rates (CTR) on web browsers, Opera and mobile Safari users click on more ads, whereas Chrome for iOS users click the least. Other data revealed showed Internet Explorer is still the most popular web browser in the U.S.
Recent research by Chitika noted in just over 24 hours after Apple released iOS 6, 15 percent of users had already updated to the most recent version of the mobile operating system.
