Earlier tonight NBC’s Brian Williams hosted Apple CEO Tim Cook in his first ever TV interview. The network teased the interview last week and this morning the show exclusively announced Apple plans to invest $100 million to build iMacs in the USA. Williams notes it took months of negotiation to land the exclusive with Cook.

If you missed the interview tonight, you can catch a couple early uploads on YouTube posted by 9to5Mac below (as the official clips come online we’ll update this post):

Anyone else notice that Tim Cook is using an iPhone 4 or Iphone 4S!? You would think…

Yeah that’s a PR blunder. He should be using an iPhone 5 at least or lie that he has one.

Pretty sure that’s an iPhone 5, the antenna band is white and the camera is at the top

Thanks Gary, enjoyed the post interview with the Verge’s Joshua Topolsky. Tim Cook’s interview was too scripted for me,but interesting nonetheless.

I honestly thought this interview was very polite and didn’t attack enough with the hard questions. It may as well be Jimmy Fallon.

I think considering how long it took NBC to land the interview, they had to be nice so they don’t get screwed when they ask for another one in the future. I think Williams asked some decent questions, but Cook dodged them pretty well, like a politician.

We know how Apple operates, you don’t want get blacklisted by them (ie Gizmodo).
