How Creative Entrepreneurs ‘Piggyback’ on the Success of Instagram

Here’s some Saturday afternoon reading, courtesy of the New York Times on their piece about how Instagram has resulted in some smart entrepreneurs:

These entrepreneurs have realized that they can piggyback on the popularity of Instagram, which has more than 100 million users, and create their own businesses, some of which have turned out to be quite profitable. They join a long line of innovators who have found creative ways to build new services on top of existing sites and platforms.

Instagram’s growth has been out of control–so much so that Facebook acquired the company in a deal worth $1 billion this Fall. Check out the full NYT story here.
