Pocket has become one of the most popular services to save articles or links for reading later. Last year, the company was known as Read It Later but was rebranded to Pocket. The company has posted their 2012 year in review and they have experienced some incredible success:

  • 240 million ‘saved to Pocket’ instances from January to December, more than quadruple their previous years combined
  • Gangnam Style was the most-saved video
  • Vanity Fair’s presidential portrait of President Obama was the most saved article
  • Pocket released more than 40 updates across iOS, Android, Mac and more

Pocket is by far one of my favourite services for the web. It’s more than just a service to save articles for reading later for me, it has become one giant repository for saving interesting links to access later.
