Rogers, Fido LTE Network Expands to 14 Additional Markets Today

The Rogers and Fido LTE network has expanded to 14 additional markets today across the country to the following areas, according to our sources:

  • Chatham, ON
  • Milton, ON
  • Sarnia, ON
  • Woodstock, ON
  • Orangeville, ON
  • Brantford, ON
  • Collingwood, ON
  • St. Catherines Expansion (including Fort Erie, Port Colborne, Welland, and Pelham), ON
  • GTA North Expansion (including King City and Bradford), ON
  • GTA Northeast Expansion (including Stouffville and East Gwillimbury), ON
  • GTA West Expansion (including Georgetown and Halton Hills), ON
  • Oshawa Expansion (including Clarington), ON
  • Kentville, NS
  • Lloydminster, AB

The company says it will introduce LTE to 44 new markets this spring, with a goal to reach 95 markets coast to coast in 2013.

Fido notes their coverage map will be updated early in May. Let us know how those LTE speeds are if you’re part of the new coverage areas.

Update: Rogers tells us today’s update is of course also for their network and today is the launch of LTE Max, a faster “premium network made up of dual frequency 2100 MHz and 2600 MHz bands.”
