TELUS to launch wireless coverage along more BC highways

In announcements made yesterday, TELUS also said it will be making the following investments to launch wireless services along highways in BC:

  • Prince George, BC: $120,000 to bring new wireless coverage to more than 10 kilometres of Highway 5 between Valemount and Tête Jaune Cache.
  • Terrace, BC: $425,000 to bring new wireless coverage to more than 40 kilometres of Highway 16 and 37 between South Hazelton and Kitwanga and Highway 37 between Kitwanga and Gitanyow.

These are ongoing investments by TELUS as part of the 10-year Connecting BC agreement signed with the province in 2011, which will have the company connect over 1,700 kilometres of unconnected highways with wireless service.
