TELUS has announced today its 4G LTE network has expanded to three new markets:
Strathroy, Ontario
Georgetown, Ontario
Fort Nelson, British Columbia
The company says its 4G LTE network now covers more than 70 per cent of the Canadian population in 170 markets.
TELUS to launch wireless coverage along more BC highways
In announcements made yesterday, TELUS also said it will be making the following investments to launch wireless services along highways in BC:
Prince George, BC: $120,000 to bring new wireless coverage to more than 10 kilometres of Highway 5 between Valemount and Tête Jaune Cache.
Terrace, BC: $425,000 to bring new wireless coverage to more than 40 kilometres of Highway 16 and 37 between South Hazelton and Kitwanga and Highway 37 between Kitwanga and Gitanyow.
Merritt, BC: $550,000 to bring new wireless coverage to more than 20 kilometres of Highway 5A near Nicola Lake
These are ongoing investments by TELUS as part of the 10-year Connecting BC agreement signed with the province in 2011, which will have the company connect over 1,700 kilometres of unconnected highways with wireless service.
