See How Big A Stack Of Vinyl Fills Up A 160GB iPod With Music

Vinyl

In order to demonstrate how big a stack of vinyl would fill up a 160GB iPod with music, the folks over at ConcertHotels have developed an interactive scrolling page that shows how insanely huge the vinyl stack would be (via CultOfMac).

All you need to do is to head over to this link and click the little arrow at the bottom of the page. You’ll then be treated to a stack of vinyl big enough to fill a 160GB iPod i.e 40,000 songs in total. According to the website, the stack of 3,180 albums would together weigh a whopping 1,400 pounds (635 kg). On the other hand, a 160GB iPod Classic that would hold the same number of songs, weighs merely a third of a pound.

Next day: Hipster fills living room with as much vinyl as in their iPod. Digital music is too mainstream.
