7.0.1 was never available for my iPhone 5, OTA nor iTunes.
7.0.1 was only for iPhone 5s and 5c.
Why does this 18MB update on my phone require wifi download?
not sure, but it might be and old requirement, but also they might feel its more stable.
OTA says 21MB but downloads in iTunes is 1.24 Gb. I am on iOS7 currently
I’m pretty sure iOS can download the delta updates (only what has changed) while iTunes downloads the entire OS.
Yep
love how the gear turns while its downloading lol
Yeah that’s always cool to see!
Attention to detail, it might be small, but its exemplary of Apple.
I worry this update will slow my iPhone 5. I was assured I wasn’t going to get any lag with my iPod touch 4G when iOS 6 came about. That was a lie. I think it’s all about Apple wanting you to buy a new device.
I will update. I will keep 6.0.1.4 until I get the iPhone 6S. I’ll then sell the iPhone 5 to someone.
Does anyone else have a problem with the grayed out simple passcode screen after the patch? The 4 dots that indicate a character entry are now barely visible. However at times when I login to my phone they are like normal and easily visible. The first time I tried to login I thought my login screen was not accepting my keypad entries.
It is very irritating and definitely started immediately after the 7.02 patch
