Now, there are caveats to this app. Live TV isn’t available if you’re not a Bell subscriber. I tried selecting Shaw as my local provider and it says it’s an “unsupported provider” so that means no live CTV for me. However, Bell says additional TV service providers will be launching CTV GO soon.

Also, AirPlay functionality is not available in the app and many users have expressed this in their negative reviews within iTunes. The app does have a lengthy list of 60 CTV shows available for watching on demand and they are ad-supported.

“With the launch of CTV GO, thousands of hours of livestreamed and on demand content from CTV are now available,” said Adam Ashton, Senior Vice-President, Business Operations, Bell Media. “It’s a win-win-win as CTV GO strengthens the relationship between broadcaster, BDU and viewer by allowing valued subscribers to take CTV on the go, wherever they may be.”
