Virgin Mobile Discounts $45 Gold Plan by $1 to $44 Per Month
Three days ago Fido, Virgin Mobile and Koodo doubled the data and minutes on select plans, in particular those at $45 and $55 per month. This morning Virgin Mobile has upped the game by discounting its $45 per month plan by a buck to $44 per month. It offers the following:
- 400 Canada-wide daytime minutes
- 5pm evenings and weekends
- Unlimited SMS/MMS to Canada, USA, International
- Voicemail, caller ID, call waiting, 3-way calling, call forwarding @ $0.25/minute
- 400MB of data

These $1 discounts remind me of last year, when Fido dropped their popular $57/month promo to $56. If you’re on the $45/month plan with Virgin Mobile, call in and get your $1 discount! You can probably get Fido or Koodo to match this as well. Stay tuned…

12 Items FO FREE every year
Omg, I was waiting for this discount! Thanks Virgin
Thank you so much Virgin mobile. I was waiting this discount. It is really cheap user friendly and smooth.
Take a look at the Silver plan for Ontario – it’s the same features, but for only $39/mo.! It looks like Virgin’s answer to Fido’s $39 deal. Great for those who are not on a contract or have an unlocked, non-subsidized phone.
Haha, great price match because it worked. I happened to visit The Source at a good time.
I was only there buying HDMI cables, and next thing I know the clerk was asking about my phone. I’m glad I didn’t brush him off because he was able to get me a Nexus 5 for free, on this $44 plan. I was expecting some kind of fee, but he promised no startup cost.
I don’t think call forwarding is included. It’s 25 cents/min
You’re right. Updated, thanks!
I think I’m still gonna hang on to my Thunder Bay plan.
