Facebook’s Monthly Active Mobile Users Hit 1 Billion; Instagram Has 200 Million

Today Facebook announced it had acquired Oculus VR for $2 billion and during the acquisition conference call, CEO Mark Zuckerberg revealed some numbers for reporters to soak up. Facebook’s monthly active mobile users have hit 1 billion as of last week, a jump from 945 million as of its most recent quarter.

As for their other darling Instagram, the photo sharing network has reached 200 million monthly active users, a jump of 50 million in six months. As for images, Instagram proudly announced over 20 billion photos have been shared to date.

Deactivated my FB account last week. Although there were withdrawal symptoms, I’ve fully recovered this week. 7 years of that crap was enough. Seems the only thing people posted were pics or quotes from other sites. I’ve since picked up twittering and drinking..lol
