For those in Alberta currently looking to sign up with Direct Energy, do note they have a promotion right now where you can get a free NEST Learning Thermostat.
The NEST thermostat can be controlled from your iOS device from anywhere, allowing you to monitor and automate your home heating.
To get the NEST, you need to sign up for the 5-Year Comfort & Control Dual Fuel Plan, which has a fixed electricity rate for the term and also winter gas that has a security cap on pricing.
Again, this looks to be a ‘deal’ if you just happened to be looking for a long term energy plan and really want a NEST thermostat. Let us know your thoughts!
