Prong Launches the ‘PWR Case’ iPhone 5/5S Charger with Built-In Plugs

Another iPhone 5/5S charging solution launched today, this time from Prong. The new PWR Case is being touted as an all-in-one power solution for your iPhone 5/5s, as there’s a case that can easily attach and detach to a rechargeable battery pack—that has flat-folding integrated plugs for wall charging, therefore saving one you one extra step of always carrying around a cable and hunting for a USB port.

There’s also a Micro USB port at the bottom of the battery pack if you need to recharge the case in the car or at a USB outlet. The Prong PWR Case has a 1500 mAh capacity available in a variety of colours, set to debut this summer at $79.99; pre-orders available today can be made for $65.

This is actually a decent idea, as your iPhone backup battery is only useful if it can be charged. When your Mophie Juice Pack runs out of power you’ll need to find your cable and a USB port to charge it. This PWR Case solution bypasses the cable and goes right into the power outlet.
