If you were about to buy a set of Beats by Dre headphones, Apple is holding a 10% off sale until Saturday both online and in-store, according to sources informing Mark Gurman from 9to5Mac:
The 10% off discount will last through August 23rd, according to a source. Beats products, including over-ear headphones, in-ear headphones, and speakers are all covered by the deal, but those seeking those “Beats Pill Dude” speaker covers will still (fortunately) have to pay the full price of $49.
We just checked and the sale also applies to Canada, as product listings here are reflecting the 10% discount on pretty much everything in the headphones, in-ear headphones and speakers category listings:
For the deal hunters out there, you can save a bit more by price matching at Future Shop or Best Buy, where you’ll save an additional 10% off the difference in prices. Amazon.ca looks to also have these on sale, with some headphones on sale for 15% off.
Now, whether Beats headphones are a good purchase for sound quality alone based on the price, that’s up for debate: what do you think?
Apple acquired Beats Music and Electronics for $3 billion back in May, with the deal becoming official on the first of this month.
