Camera+ 6 Launches in the App Store, Brings Full Manual Controls to iPhone

Camera+6

Camera+ 6 is now live in the App Store, and is a free update for existing users. This update brings full manual controls to the iPhone, thanks to new camera APIs released by Apple back at WWDC 2014 for iOS 8.

With Camera+ 6, you now get:

  • Manual focus
  • Manual exposure
  • White balance
  • Macro shooting mode
  • Camera+ 6 Photo Extension – edit photos with Camera+ in the stock photos app camera
Here’s a video showcasing the new app’s features:

The taptaptap team says “this release may have been the hardest the whole Camera+ team has worked on an update to date.”

Click here to download Camera+ 6—it’s $1.99 in the App Store and well worth it, as it’s our go-to editing app of choice. This should be a must-try app for your new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

The one photo extension I really want: Snapseed.

(Also, in a mostly unrelated note, I’d like to see the Kindle app become a Safari extension like Pocket did.)

It’ll all come soon as developers update their apps. iOS 8 so far is pretty decent (well, except for iOS 8.0.1 lol).
