Apple Updates the Apple Watch Microsite with More Details

As pointed out by 9to5Mac, Apple has refreshed its Apple Watch microsite adding more details about the upcoming wearable as well as some new interactive images of the device. The ‘Features’ page on the site has now been replaced with expanded descriptions of the watch’s functions across separate pages labeled ‘Timekeeping’, ‘New Ways to Connect’, and ‘Health & Fitness’.

Watch

The new Apple Watch features pages now go more in-depth into each category with additional details and interactive images. The Timekeeping section now also shows a brief description of several faces. For example Apple describes the above watch face named ‘Simple’ as “an elegant and minimalistic view of the time — usually the first thing you want at a glance. Easily adjust the amount of detail on the dial, from light to rich. Even with complications, this face maintains a clean and symmetrical design.”

Site

Further down the Timekeeping page, there is an interactive image of the Apple Watch’s stopwatch functionality which allows you to choose between an analog, digital, and hybrid view.

“The expanded New Ways to Connect page features animations for the Apple Watch’s various communication apps including sketching an image, tapping a vibration pattern, and sharing your heartbeat. Apple previously demoed these functions on stage and described them on the previous version of the site. Finally, Apple has included interactive animations for the Apple Watch’s move, exercise, and stand monitoring functions from its fitness app. You can also see an animation for the Apple Watch’s achievement feature”.

No details regarding the Apple Watch’s pricing or release date have however been released. You can check out the refreshed microsite here.

Shouldn’t be a concern if you already know you’re charging it every night.

I am deaf and I have a huge clock with a bed shaker to wake me up in the morning. It needs to be replaced soon. Will the new Apple Watch have a vibration feature to wake me up in the morning? Does anyone know how strong the vibration is? Can one set the vibration power and time? Snooze feature? I might just get rid of the clock and let the Apple Watch’s vibration feature wake me up in the morning. This would be great too for traveling!
