Apple.ca has restocked refurbished 4th and 5th generation iPod touch models this morning, for those looking for ‘cheap’ iPods or Internet devices.
The 16GB 5th generation iPod touch in Black & Silver is available for $169, savings of 15% off its retail price. Meanwhile, the ‘ancient’ 4th gen iPod touch from 2010, is available in 32GB for $179 in either black or white.
Refurbished units are good as new but don’t have a new shiny box, and include the standard one year warranty. The fifth gen iPod touch supports iOS 8, while the fourth gen does not. These could make decent ‘throwaway’ iPods for the kiddies.

At this point, the 4th-generation iPod touch is all but useless. It doesn’t support iOS 7, let alone iOS 8, and it’s slow, has a horrible (non-IPS) LCD, and a useless speaker. I wouldn’t even pay $50 for it.
