PayPal Launches One Touch for Web in Canada for Single-Click Checkout

PayPal has started rolling out One Touch for Web in Canada and the UK, after it was launched last month in the US. This service, available on mobile and web browsers, aims to make an easy buying experience by not having to enter their password during checkouts after initial sign-ins.

According to Bill Ready, SVP and Global Head of Merchant and Next Gen Commerce, PayPal, “because One Touch enables consumers to pay without entering any payment information even at signup, it helps to increase customer adoption and address checkout abandonment.”

So essentially once you login with your PayPal information and agree have it saved for next time, future online purchases on sites with PayPal checkout enabled will let you buy with “a single click.”

Looks pretty simple–let us know if you give this a try. Although on iOS, password managers such as 1Password make it similarly easy to enter logins and autofill addresses and credit card data.
