TELUS Optik Smart Remote for iOS Gets Fix for Crashing Bug

The TELUS Optik Smart Remote iOS app has finally been updated to fix an “occasional crash” issue for users.

Users had voiced their displeasure with the app with numerous 1-star ratings in iTunes, as it appears the app started to crash after the recent iOS 8.4.1 update.

The company has promptly released an update for the app in just under a week to fix the crash issue.

Can you actually watch the recorded TV shows via your phone? I tried but it doesn’t appear to work.

No, the Optik Remote App only acts as a remote.

Glad to hear about this. I just switched everything over to Telus including my iPhone 6. Looking forward to trying this out. So glad to say bye bye Rogers!
