Pebble Unveils ‘Round’ Smartwatch: “Thinnest and Lightest” in the World

Pebble has announced a new smartwatch: the Pebble Time Round. It’s the company’s first smartwatch with a traditional round design that the company calls the thinnest and lightest in the world.

Pebble Time Round is 7.5mm thin and weighs 28 grams (Apple Watch Sport weights 25 grams and 30 grams for the 38mm and 42mm cases respectively). It comes with 20mm or 14mm band sizes, available in Black, Silver and a special edition Rose Gold for the 14mm band (well played).

Battery life is “days-long”, and quick charging allows for a day’s worth of battery with just 15 minutes plugged in, plus the watches are splash resistant. The company’s proprietary charger port has now moved to the back of the watch.

Pebble Time Round is priced at $249 USD ($331 CAD), with reservations available now on the company’s website, slated for an early November release.
