Skype for Business iOS App is Now Available for Download
A couple of months back, Microsoft previewed Skype for Business app for iOS and today, the app has been released publicly as a free download in the App Store, replacing the older Lync 2013 app. Along with a bunch of new features, Microsoft has announced that the new Skype for Business app also resolves sign-in issues that some users have been experiencing with Lync 2013 on iOS 9.
Skype for Business app offers a familiar Skype UI, with a simplified dashboard and enhanced In-Call and In-Meeting experiences. The app also brings full-screen video, simultaneous viewing of the shared content and speaker’s video, larger buttons for meeting controls and support for Active Directory Authentication Library based multi-factor authentication.
The new Skype for Business iOS app is now available as a free, universal download in the App Store. iPhone users with Lync 2013 will automatically get updated to the Skype for Business app. iPad users with Lync 2013 need to download the new Universal app from the App Store.
