After Bell increased wireless plans in Quebec by $5 last month, Rogers is now following suit with their own increase, with Share Everything, Share Everything+, and non-Share plans set to jump $5 per month starting tomorrow for new customers, sources tell MobileSyrup.
Most plans will see a $5 per month increase across the board, with the Quebec non-share plan with No Tab set to jump up $10.50 to $60 per month.
Quebec, along with Saskatchewan and Manitoba have previously been immune to wireless increases from the Big 3, due to regional competition from Videotron, SaskTel and MTS.
That changed last month when Bell hiked prices in Quebec, while Videotron lowered data buckets in response, and SaskTel similarly hiked prices by $5 per month.
Rogers, TELUS and Bell recently increased wireless prices in Canada, which all three blamed on the falling Canadian dollar. For Q4 2015, Rogers reported $3.45 billion in revenue, while Bell had an operating revenue of $5.6 billion. TELUS is set to announce their Q4 2015 results tomorrow.
