Apple TV 4 Jailbreak Coming Next Week: PanguTeam

The PanguTeam, well-known now for their release of iOS jailbreaks, announced on Twitter this morning a jailbreak is coming next week for the latest fourth generation Apple TV.

The team says the release will only have SSH access, which means it’s targeted for researchers and jailbreak developers, as it will lack an easy UI (or unless you know what you’re doing).

The last jailbreak we’ve seen for Apple TV has only been for the second generation. While the third generation hasn’t been jailbroken yet, news of a jailbreak for the latest model will please many who own one. A jailbreak would allow users to install custom software to expand multimedia possibilities.
