Google for iOS Gets AMP Support, Sports Highlights Now in Cards
Google for iOS has been updated today to support the company’s Accelerated Mobile Pages project, announced last fall, which aims to bring faster loading mobile pages.
Publishers supporting AMP will show a lightning bolt and “AMP” next to articles in the “Top Stories” section of search queries.
For sports fans, Now cards will load sports videos right on screen, without the need to open a new page.

iPad users now get keyboard shortcuts to navigate ands search more easily (just hold “Command” down to see supported shortcuts). Also, search results now show busiest hours for places and local businesses, eliminating the need to expand results.
Let us know how you like this update. We haven’t seen any of the updates yet in our results, though.
