Google Makes it Easier to Locate Your Missing iPhone [u]

Find phone

Google has today made it even simpler and faster to locate exactly where your missing Android device is on a map. Simply head over to Google’s My Account hub and you’ll notice a new “Find your phone” option. Using this, you can make your device ring at maximum volume, lock it with a message and contact number on the lock screen, or locate it using the Device Manager.

“Find your phone is a new feature that will help you if your phone is ever lost or stolen. In a few simple steps, you can not only locate your phone, but also lock and call it, secure your account, leave a callback number on the screen, and more. The feature can be used to find lost Android and iOS devices, and soon, you’ll also be able to access it by searching Google for “I lost my phone.”

If you’re accessing Find Your iPhone using your iPhone or any other iOS device, Google’s My Account will redirect you towards iCloud and Apple’s Find My iPhone tracking.

Update: added to article to emphasize iPhone support for this feature.

The news is that this now supports iOS devices. The Android device support has existed since last June 1st.
