How to Watch Apple’s WWDC 2016 Keynote on Windows

Apple’s WWDC 2016 keynote starts in less than 15 minutes and the company will live stream it to iOS, Apple TV, OS X and Windows 10 users with Edge.

But if you’re not on Windows 10, here’s how to watch the live stream:

1. Download VLC for Windows and install it.

2. Launch VLC, go to the Media tab, and select “Open Network Stream”. Paste in the link below in the URL field:

Here’s a lower quality stream in 640×266 if your Internet is not very fast:

According to Reddit, the links above are the correct ones for 2016, as the ones circulating the web previously are from 2015.

3. Once you’ve pasted in the link, press Play to start the live stream. It won’t work until Apple’s keynote live stream goes live at 10AM PDT/1PM EDT, so be patient.

If you’re on Linux or Android, repeat the steps above to watch the 2016 WWDC keynote live stream and it should work as well.

For other users, here are the requirements to watch Apple’s live stream:

  • iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with Safari on iOS 7.0 or later
  • Mac with Safari 6.0.5 or later on OS X v10.8.5 or later
  • PC with Microsoft Edge on Windows 10
  • Apple TV (2nd or 3rd generation) with software 6.2 or later or an Apple TV (4th generation)
