Virgin Mobile is launching home Internet for its members, with a pre-sale available depending on areas of availability.
Prices start at $50/month for a plan with up to 25 Mbps download speeds and 10 Mbps upload, with a 300 GB per month bandwidth limit (overages at $1/GB; max $50/mo).
The other plan available is $65 per month with the same download and upload speeds as the $50 plan, but offers unlimited bandwidth.
Virgin says there are no install fees, no contracts, and “no hidden fees”. There’s a similar Internet offer right now for Bell Fibe 25 in Ontario, which offers unlimited usage for $59.99 per month, but comes with a $49.95 installation fee.
The addition of home Internet is yet another way to match Fido, which launched Internet in Ontario last fall starting at $50/month as well (albeit with “up to 30 Mbps download speeds”), to target target those millennials, yo.

The access is via the smart phone or via DSL router?
I’d bite if it includes cellular data. It is MORONIC to pay twice for Internet. Data and voice is all the same on cell lines anyway.
my building just got fibre stream. $35 / 50mbps / unlimited usage. its sorta ridiculous that its better than the competition in pretty much every metric.
