Amazon for iOS Gets Menu Redesign, Now Uses Apple’s WKWebView
Amazon has released a minor update for its iOS app, which now comes with a “modern design” for their sidebar menu, bringing a cleaner and simplified look. Users can now swipe right from the left edge of the app to bring up the menu, but in our tests on our iPhone 6s, that sometimes would bring up iOS multitasking instead.

There’s a new settings section which allows users to quickly change country, sign out of their account, enable notifications for important notices and offers. Subscribe & Save is now accessible via Your Account, along with browsing history.
Amazon also explains this update adds support for Apple’s WKWebView API, which adds browser performance like Safari, aimed to reduce crash rates and also for a more stable and better shopping experience.

That’s because you are applying too much pressure on the left edge. If you force press the left side or force swipe, it brings the multitasking menu.
