Pokemon GO Bug Fixes Addressed in First Major iOS Update

Are you addicted to Pokemon GO? The iOS and Android versions received their first major updates, fixing a bunch of bugs and further tweaking the game.

You can now re-customize your avatar from the profile screen, while the game gets better memory management and the map has been updated to fix some features. The full changelog of what’s new is below:

What’s New in Version 1.1.0
– Trainer avatars can now be re-customized from the profile screen
– Adjusted some Pokémon battle move damage values
– Refined certain Gym animations
– Improved memory issues
– Removed footprints of nearby Pokémon
– Adjusted battle damage calculation
– Various bug fixes during wild Pokémon encounter
– Updated Pokémon details UI
– Updated achievement medals art
– Fixed issues with displaying certain map features
– Minor text fixes

One of the biggest fixes removes the issue of footprints of nearby Pokemon. They no longer show anymore.

There was no point to it on iPhone, because battery usage is the same on an LED screen no matter what the color is (what matters is the brightness of the backlight). It would make a difference on an OLED display, maybe they kept the option for Android. On iPhone, it was only useful to avoid accidental input when removing the iPhone from a pocket.

If you want a super level up do this –> go out of the app. Press and hold the app until it starts to wiggle on the screen and an “X” appears in the right corner. Press the “X” and ta da! Your life will be much happier!!
