Saskatoon has announced this morning five more Public WiFi access spots have been added, while specifically stating the expansion includes “A popular Pokémon GO stop outside City Hall”, notes a press release.
The five new locations are listed below:
Civic Square (outdoors), Saskatoon City Hall, 222 – 3rd Avenue North
Shaw Centre, 122 Bowlt Cres
Silverwood, 3503 Kenner Avenue
George Ward Pool, 1915 5th St East
TCU Place Convention and Arts Centre (lobby), 35 – 22nd Street East
Free public Wi-Fi is powered by a partnership with Shaw, as part of the city’s initiative Service Saskatoon, which along with their Continuous Improvement goal, aims to leverage “technology and emerging trends to reach our goal to provide great citizen experiences at every level.”
Seven remaining public facilities are set to have WiFi installed. The free Internet allots 500MB of data for a period of 30 days, and automatically renews.
