Apple Stores Selling Apple Music Gift Cards, 12 Months for $99 CAD [u]

Apple Stores in Canada have started to sell Apple Music gift cards, available in 3 month or 12 month options, priced at $29.97 and $99 CAD, respectively (Update: prices in the images below are AUD, not CAD).

Apple music gift card

Normally, an individual Apple Music subscription costs $9.99 per month, while a family plan costs $14.99 (up to 6 devices). By purchasing a 12 month card from Apple, you’re saving $21, or 17.5% off the regular price of an individual plan.

As we told you last week, you can get this $99 annual pricing from Apple Music gift cards also available at London Drugs, or online via PayPal’s Digital Gifts store, at the same price.

For individual Apple Music plans, the gift card pricing works out to $8.25 per month, making it cheaper than rival music service Spotify Premium, which costs $9.99 per month.

Thanks Daniel

The prices on the cards in the Apple Store are the Australian prices.

That makes sense as they aren’t bilingual.

Unfortunately no discounts for the family plans. I purchased mine through PayPal and it was the same.

Too bad there is still no student fares for us in Canada. Removal of the headphone jack and stuff like that. Tim Cook is a prick

Why bother with these when you can get discounted iTunes cards instead (which regularly go on sale for 75-85$ for the 100$ card)?

Because the discounts on iTunes cards can be better than this and also because they are more flexible (can be used for apps, Apple Music – including family plan, iCloud, etc.).
