Mac Users Are Switching to Surface More Than Ever, Claims Microsoft

In a recent post on its official blog, Microsoft has claimed “more people are switching from Macs to Surface than ever before”, while revealing that November was the “best month ever for consumer Surface sales” due to a number of Black Friday deals on the Surface Pro 4 (via The Verge).
The company also cites “the disappointment of the new MacBook Pro” and that its trade-in program for MacBooks tempted people to switch to Surface.
“More people are switching from Macs to Surface than ever before. Our trade-in program for MacBooks was our best ever, and the combination of excitement for the innovation of Surface coupled with the disappointment of the new MacBook Pro – especially among professionals – is leading more and more people to make the switch to Surface. It seems like a new review recommending Surface over MacBook comes out daily. This makes our team so proud, because it means we’re doing good work”.
While the company refuses to provide the exact sales numbers, it is expanding fast on the availability of the new Surface Book with Performance Base. The latest and most powerful Surface Book has now been made available in Australia and New Zealand, and will arrive in Austria, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Switzerland, and the UK early next year.

I feel like MS have learnt from Apple how to release positive statements without actually saying anything. Switch rate “better than ever” could be increase from 10 to 15 Surface sold/ month 🙂 but surely they want to make us think that it’s increase from 10 to 20,000 / month : )
Exactly. I’ve no doubt they’re getting more switchers than before, but “better than ever” is completely meaningless.
Yep. it’s like apple saying that “the new iPhone is the best iPhone we ever made”. Oh really… I expected it being slightly worse than the previous model 🙂
That Surface Studio sure is tempting… So far everything Apple released this year was disappointing (to me).
If you’re gonna buy a Surface Studio, I suggest you read this review first

Surface Pro 4 and love it.
I didn’t go to Surface, but after waiting many months for the disappointment that was the 2016 MB Pro, I went with the XPS 13 and I’m loving it.
