Videotron has launched Daily Traveller Pass, the Montreal-based carrier’s version of something like Rogers’ Roam Like Home, where customers can roam in the U.S. or internationally, using their own mobile plan details.
The carrier says the new offering “makes roaming charge shock a thing of the past.” Here’s what’s available for customers, so they “can use their mobile device abroad just as if they were home”:
$6 per day U.S. roaming
$10 per day International roaming (to 100+ countries)
Videotron says Daily Traveller Pass charges are valid for 24 hours. Once you opt-in to the service, charges start once you make or answer calls, send an SMS/MMS, or use data. On days you don’t use any service (SMS, voice, data), you won’t be charged. Excess data usage will be charged according to your regular Videotron plan.
