iOS 10.3 Download for iPhone, iPad, iPod touch Now Available [u]

Apple has just made iOS 10.3 available for download for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. It’s available as an over-the-air update. The download for our iPhone 7 Plus comes in at 655.3MB, as seen below:

Also available is watchOS 3.2 in this release, while tvOS 10.2 is rolling out as well. iOS 10.3 comes with Find my AirPods, while watchOS 3.2 gets a new Theater Mode. We’re installing this final update now.

Siri also knows cricket sports scores and statistics for the Indian Premier League and International Cricket Council. With SiriKit updates, Siri can now support paying and checking the status of bills with supported payment apps, plus also scheduling with ride booking apps.

CarPlay gets new shortcuts in the status bar for quick access to your previously used apps, while Apple Music gets a new ‘Now Playing’ screen.

For those renting movies, you can now rent once and watch across all your iCloud devices.

For Maps, you can get hourly weather by using 3D Touch on the current temperature. Calendar can now delete an unwanted invite and report it as junk. As for the Home app, you can now trigger scenes using accessories with switches and buttons, which also works for accessory battery level status as well.

…more to follow

I tried. It doesn’t. Do you know what’s the right phrase to say for it to tell the score? I tried an ongoing test match but it didn’t seem to know.

For the first time, I think I’ll wait a couple weeks before updating, especially with the new APFS.

No need to wait. It’s been thoroughly tested with 7 beta releases. Everything seems quicker, and all of my 80+ apps are working fine.

I have an iPhone SE; update worked a-ok. Carrier update (Koodo) is 28.0 – however – we still do not have VoLTE.

If you don’t know, then you shouldn’t be on the beta.

If you had the last beta build 14E5277, I believe that the released version is the same, so no need to update.

Just do a restore via iTunes. Problem solved!

It’s what’s happens when it deletes cache files accumulated over months. You can delete those files without updating.

Updated office iPad mini 2 and iPod touch 6th gen without issues but my iPhone 6s is stuck on the ‘Verifying update’ popup (this is actually my 3rd attempt as the previous ones didn’t succeed).

I guess I’ll try via iTunes. OTA update doesn’t seem to work properly on my phone today for some reason.

That’s the way I always update my iPhone. It’s never given me trouble.

Me neither. Now I just tried rebooting manually and I got the Apple logo with the progress bar. Hopefully it works now.

Always do a restore via iTunes. OTA’s although more convenient, are really messy upgrades and leaves a lot of crap from previous iOS behind. A restore does a complete wipe and clean install.

After awhile it turns into a spinning activity indicator on a black screen and then, after a few minutes, it simply reboots without updating the OS.

Had the same with my iPhone 6s and iPad Air 2, both devices I had to try a second time for the update to install thankfully the second try was successful on each device

Fantastic update! Overall system performance seems to have increased. Interface latency is also much better.

My phone is on iOS 10.2 jailbreak so of course I will not update. One of my iPad is on iOS 10.3 beta and for what I see, no new features is realy worth the update.

It’s runs and boots a lot quicker. There are noticeable improvements over the beta. It’s worth with losing the crappy Yulu JB over.

I run Yalu Jailbreak since 2 months now without any problem at all. Its as smooth as pengu iOS 9.3.3 jailbrak was. I’ll test the final 10.3 on my Air 2 but during the beta process, I didn’t notice any noticeable difference in speed or smoothness.

It’s still a crappy semi tethered JB with a certificate that only lasts a week. We have to see a fully unteathered permanent JB, which will probably never happen.

As long as I dont reboot my phone I’m still jailbroken so the 7-day certificate dont bother me too much, plus it take 2 min to re-sign the api. I use a computer everyday so its not a problem and they are too many things I need that stock iOS still don’t offer to just let go a JB just for a small update like a .x one . So at this state its just opinions.

And what happens when it crashes, and forces you to reboot when you are away from your computer. You’re screwed! lol. Unless you have no life and tied to your computer 24/7.

Why such an arrogant attitude for just an opinion over an update? Honestly, my iPad pro crashed just one time while jailbroken (I have both my phone and iPad jailbroken), and it just go to safe mode and just have to respring so the iPad was still on jailbroken state. The no life argument is a little harsh to me and it seems you just want to troll me. The only annoying thing that can happen is what Jay said above. If my phone crash when I’m away, it will just be a stock iOS phone until I’m home again, and it never happened yet.

I thought it was just me at first, but I’m seeing other people mention performance enhancements as well.
I feel the fly in animations after unlock and a few other subtle things similar to that are a lot smoother so far. Haven’t had a lot of time to play yet, but my eyes picked that up right away.

The placebo effect is great with this update. My eyes picked up at least a 5x performance increase. Others picked up a 10-20x increase.

Ahh I just read a tweet from Renaud Lienhard who’s involved iOS engeinering department. He states there was several changes made to the animations which makes the system appear faster.

Guess your shot at making fun fell short. At least I know I’m not going crazy heh.

Since updating early last night, I’ve got an extra 3.7 GB of available space on my 64 GB iPhone SE. My brother has a 16 GB iPhone SE and said he has about an extra 3 gigs of available space.

LOL. It’s got nothing to do with the update. When you update, it deletes all the cache files your phone built up over months. You can delete those cache files without updating via restore or an app. It’s just a matter of time before you lose that space when the cache fills up over time.

I never got GBs of data made available after doing an iOS update before. Neither has my brother. Are you aware that this iOS 10.3 update is the very first to use the brand new Apple File System (APFS)? It is the first Apple OS to take advantage of SSD technology. I’ve read that it supports the TRIM command which reclaims deleted SSD space. That seems to be what happened with this iOS 10.3 update.

I have been on quite a few systems but nothing at all worked for me in a proper way. And finally in 2012 I discovered a system that is crazy. It is very simple and easy to setup and I began advertising it within few mins. This system works and is perfect for almost everyone regardless of age, educational background or occupational skills. You can get instant results even if you feel like you have sup-par computer skills.I have earned $1000 within my initial 7 days and after that I am earning $10000 or more per month.Thank you for creating this amazing system that is perfect for the average person >>>> http://deliciousurl.com//1h

Another thing I noticed which is a HUGE improvement is Safari swipe back and forward pages.
Before if I swipe to go back, or more noticeably forward a page in safari, there was always a 1-2 second delay while the page buffed/loaded before it would like me scroll the page.
I suffered this every day. That’s totally gone now, I’m very happy for that.
