$500 Box Claims to Hack Any iPhone 7 / 7 Plus Passcode [VIDEO]

Hack box

A new video published by the folks over at EverythingApplePro shows a $500 box, which claims to be able to hack and view the passcode of any iPhone 7/7 Plus running iOS 10.3.3 or iOS 11 Beta (via TheNextWeb). The purported iPhone passcode hacking device has three USB ports, and has the capacity to brute-force passcodes on three devices at the same time.

EverythingApplePro says the creators of the tool exploited a loophole in the phone’s data recovery state that allows users to enter as many password attempts as they need. The vulnerability puts at risk all iPhone 7 and 7+ models running any version of iOS between 10.3.3 and 11 Beta.

In case your phone is running an older version of iOS, the attackers will have to import the iOS 10.3.3 firmware to your phone to brute-force it.

While we cannot verify the authenticity of the gadget, the following video does show the exploit in action. Check it out and tell us what you think:

Nice. Now Lets see: other than the law enforcement agencies, and maybe a few repair shops, who would mostly be the potential customer for this device?

Probably Apple’s doing to get users to upgrade from 10.3.3 to 11 final since Apple announced they will only fix in iOS 11 final.
