American Express Promo: Use Apple Pay 3 Times and Earn $10 Credit
American Express is holding a promotion offering $10 statement credit to cardholders, if they use Apple Pay (or Android Pay, Samsung Pay) for three separate in-store transactions, from November 28 to December 28, 2017.

In order to qualify for the promo, you need to register for it. Amex says only the first 15,000 cards successfully registered will be eligible for the offer. Your statement credit may take up to two billing cycles to appear, and up to 90 days to be credited to your account, says Amex.
This appears to be a targeted promo, so check your email inbox. We’re hearing SPG, Simplycash and Cobalt cards have received this email. Let us know if you got it too.

Received it earlier today (SimplyCash AMEX). Love those random promos they send out throughout the year.
Yes, nice little perk to use Apple Pay (which we would be anyways!)
Link is broken or something
Cobalt card here, just got the email as well. Thanks for the tip.
Cheers. Can’t be free money 🙂
I got the email for my Amex Platinum.
Registered too
what a scam like to the clickbait caption. while a merchant may accept Apple Pay, I have yet to find one where Amex works with it.
McDonalds, inside gas stations, Tim Hortons, any merchants enabling Apple Pay on their iOS app, same for websites that offer Apple pay.
Are you kidding, there’s lots lol
There are a few, not lots of merchants who accept Apple Pay and Amex. But none so far are working with Amex.I called Amex and they don’t know what’s going on. They even sent me a new card. The merchants I spoke with told me perhaps once a day or two someone uses Apple Pay in their store. It’s not popular. I prefer taking out my CC and just tapping it…and it’s usually not Amex any way, haha.
Who said it was? It’s the most popular mobile payment solution that’s for sure. Just because you don’t understand how it works doesn’t make it unpopular.
Do you think if tap is broken on your card that it effects ?Pay?
The business needs to accept AMEX tap on their terminals.
When you get a credit card terminal MC and Visa enable tap by default.
AMEX requires you to “opt-in” to the service on your merchant account / terminal, which some places haven’t done.
So a place can take ApplePay using Visa and MC, but not take ApplePay for AMEX.
(The company just needs to request the provider of their machines to turn on AMEX tap)
