Apple Updates App Store Guidelines With Enforced Rules Against Low-Effort Apps
Within the App Store Guidelines support page, Apple urges developers not to "submit apps that are indistinguishable from what's already widely available."
CIBC Mobile Banking, Simplii Financial for iOS Get Face ID Support on iPhone X
CIBC Mobile Banking and Simplii Financial for iOS have been updated to support Face ID for iPhone X users. This means users can now log into the app without entering a password and just use their gorgeous faces.
For CIBC users, the update also says “Authorized credit card users can now register and sign on to view their account or card details,” depending on their access level. Also, credit accounts such as a CIBC Mortgage now can view insurance coverage options, such as Critical Illness.
After CIBC ended their partnership with PC Financial this summer, the bank launched new rebranded operations under the Simplii Financial banner in November.
Earlier this week, RBC updated their iOS app to support Face ID on iPhone X.
