Tim Hortons Issues $5 Credit to Some Users Over App Promo Glitch
Back in November, Tim Hortons launched a promo to encourage mobile app downloads and order, where users would get a free coffee with three mobile orders placed.
But it turns out that promo didn’t go exactly as planned for some mobile users, which has resulted in Tim Hortons offering a $5 credit, as it “was not a seamless experience for everyone”, reads an email to customers:

Tim Hortons says the $5 credit to accounts can be used at any eligible location, a move the company says is to “make things right”.
The iconic Canadian coffee chain launched mobile ordering last summer, and recently updated their app to support ‘Scrrroll up to Win’, a weekly digital version of their annual Roll Up the Rim contest.
Did you get a $5 app credit from Tim Hortons?
Thanks Frank!

Screw Tim Hortons.
I thought you had to be at least 13 years old to comment here…
I thought a corporation as big as Tim Hortons could treat their employees with respect. Guess we were both wrong.
Saying that in the first place, would have elicited no response from me actually. You kinda’ sounded troll-ish with that first statement.
I got the email this morning, and bought myself a Farmers Breakfast Wrap. Mmmm.
I did have problems with redeeming the free coffee. I emailed them and they said the stores had a computer update and it should now work – but it didn’t. I eventually gave up on trying to redeem the free coffee.
Does it automatically get applied to your account?
Yes
I’ve had countless problems with the app. But I’ve since been boycotting the franchise, so they can keep their $5 credit.
I got it. Logged into my app and it was there.
