Apple Maps Lane Guidance in iOS 11 Expands to Calgary
Last November, Apple Maps Lane Guidance started rolling out for users in Canada with iOS 11, in an over-the air update.
Lane guidance informs drivers which lane to stay in during navigation and applies to Apple Maps on iOS devices and within CarPlay. At the time, many users were seeing support across cities in Canada, such as in Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, Burnaby, Waterloo and Windsor, to name a few cities.
Now it appears lane guidance has expanded further, as iPhone in Canada reader Darren has spotted the feature in Calgary, within Apple Maps, which he uses frequently.

Also, the Apple Maps feature page has finally been updated to list Canada as a country that supports Lane Guidance.
Are you seeing Lane Guidance in Apple Maps in your area right now?

Lane guidance has been available in Calgary for awhile now, not really a new story.
Same – I’ve had lane guidance for a while in Calgary. Maybe six months or so?
Although with the heavy snowfall we’ve had recently, there aren’t really lanes leaving the highway; more like tire tracks to somehow follow!
