Am I the only one that feels awkward, (let me just ignore the attendant for a second and stare at my phone like an assholle so I can pay with my phone lol). I must say I miss Touch ID in this situation. Was way quicker and seemless to grab phone and just tap. I’ll sometimes authenticate Apple Pay before I reach drive through window but sometimes it times out lol. Or like the other day. (Grab phone, ignore attendant, faceid and ignore attendant, Apple Pay doesn’t work , /facepalm, pull out wallet….)
If the faceID cameras are so much better than touch, then why stop there? Might as well remove the touchscreen and replace it with face gestures.
Although I have gotten used to it (finally), I still don’t like the fact that u need to double tap. I find this so awkward. Couldn’t Apple have either do a press and hold on the same button or don’t hit any button at all? Just hold up the phone and let Face ID do it’s thing automatically.
Yes, double tapping the side button on iPhone X is still very awkward. Lots of accidental screenshots.
